Spring Lake Rehabilitation Center

I was a nurse for 35 years and can be very picky! I am currently a Rehab patient here and also a year ago. I can not begin to tell you how great this facility is! So much so, that after being here last year for several months, and my husband traveling here to see me from South Lakeland , when I needed rehabilitation again....this was the only facility I wanted to be in! It feels like home. The administrator, Mr. Dan Melton is on top of everything, he personally visits the patients, & remembers our name. If there are any issues, he listens and does all he can to make things right. His admin staff is also quite accommodating. PT/OT/ST are top notch and although they work you very hard to reach your goals, they also make you feel like family, not just a patient. Nursing staff has been great, I have a lot of meds to take, some at unusual levels and they all worked with me and got it all straight. The CNA's have been here when I call, helping me with everything I need. The food is well balanced, but if I want I can go to the Bistro and get something else, I love it! Always fun activities going on, singing groups, karaoke, bingo, and so much more fun to be had, I even got to go on a day trip! And I truly love the Ice Cream Parlor!!! I have had my nails done, my hair done, 1st one being free! If it wasn't for working my muscles so hard to gain my strength, I would think I was on vacation! My room is clean, no odors in the halls, If you ever need to utilize Rehabilitation, I suggest you check this place out!

No notice of discharge of my 94 yr old dad knowing I live put of state. He was there last year great facility not sure what has changed but not the same level of care. No return phone calls. My dad being left soiled, call button turned off without checking on him. Paying out of pocket now till I can arrange care. He will never go back to this facility again!
