My mother is currently in the rehabilitation center at St Joseph's and it has been nothing less than horrible. I will give more details in the future but today the assistant nursing manager at the facility was neglectful in her responsibility to follow through with an appointment my mother had which resulted in over two hours of pain and suffering that was unnecessary. When the concern was addressed with the director of the facility, his response was that we all make mistakes. Will be posting more....

My parents have stayed in the nursing home section for more than 1 year now. Although some staff are caring and capable, many are not. The facility is grossly understaff caring for its residents. Although my mother is sometimes capable of feeding herself, often she is not. Today when I visited she was trying to feed herself, but most of her food was on herself and wheel chair. I could not find any staff to assist and when I went looking for the supervisor I found her in the break room crying. When I asked for help she replied "I cannot, I am having a major breakdown."If you leave a family member here you need to check on them ideally daily or at least several times a week. You cannot trust that they will receive adequate care!
