My dad was there for months before he passed. The care there was almost nonexistent. He layed for days with NO stimulation. One day when I visited, I actually thought he was dead. When I asked, they told me he was lethargic for the past few days. He was only lethargic because no one stimulated him. That day, me and me siblings cleaned him as best we could stimulated him. We had a great time listening to music and talking with him. We also reported that something didn't smell right. They blamed it on his roommate and someone came in and sprayed the room. Towards the end if the visit, his catherturbag leaked on to the floor. They said we must of kicked it or hustled it when we moved his bed. NOT! They changed. I later found out his cathertur had not been changed for days and he had a big infected cut on his penis from lake of general care. That was what was stinking. We knew it was him, not his roommate but we couldn't figure it out, we did not undress him. It wasn't until our family got hospice care involved that my dad had good care. I could tell the difference in care, immediately. He was clean and arranged in more comfortable positions. Thank God he passed with dignity with their support.
