Pros: Physical Therapy/Rehab. Activities. Cons: Long Term Care, dining, directors/management are not visible. Vast difference in work ethic among staff. No reinforcement for great work/ no action taken for terrible work. TIPS: Stay off your phones when with residents (um, you should almost always be with residents), engage/converse with residents. If resident is drooling, wipe it off, if they are leaning out of their wheelchair, prop them up, if they have dirty clothes on, change them or get them a bib while dining. Dignity is IMPORTANT!
