This place is terrible. The food is inedible. I managed to avoid malnutrition by taking Ensure food supplement and having my wife bring me a dinner from time to time. The aides are poorly trained (only 10 days training and two days review) and they often hurt people badly, including me. The nurses are there probably because they could get no other job. In any case, they are reduced to handing out powerful opioids (oxycontin, etc.) far too frequently, with the result being the addiction of old people, who when they are released must then buy the stuff from illegal drug pushers. The doctors are inept and only come to the facility two or three times a month. The senior doctor is an immigrant who speaks little English and who writes "doctor orders" that the nurses say are almost impossible to understand. Those orders mostly specify up to three oxycontin a day, which is far too much. The Ohio Department of Health should take a close look at this place. If they do they will find patients lying for hours in their own bodily waste as well as a great many people who are so drugged they don't know where they are. This is from an ex-patient who would never go near the place again.

If I could give this place a -0- I would, as they are understaffed and overworked; horrible patient care, neglect. Do your homework and read employee reviews too. Location responds to reviews positively but the exact same horrible reviews with the exact same complaints are posted.

Was trying to forget about that hell-hole .My husband, who passed away 10 months ago, received a Happy Birthday card from them😡Apparently they need help in their record keeping department -as well as in their nursing care! It’s beautiful on the outside but ugly inside.Wouldn’t accept my remarks until I checked off star ratings-that’s the only reason they got one!

I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this hell hole. My husband was kept drugged constantly and he knew it. No matter when you stopped in his plate of so-called food was always sitting and uneaten. They would always say”oh, he said he wasn’t hungry”. What a bunch of crap that was. He had an UTI infection and was sent to Marymount Hospital. What a difference! He ate real food (salmon, rice ex) had help calling one of our sons and pleaded to please get him out of there)Heartland) because they were keeping him drugged and was confused. They said he wouldn’t cooperate in therapy- how could he in that state-he didn’t have a problem at the hospital. He spent a week there and was thriving. Sent back to Heartland and drugged again. The night before he died my son said he drank THREE FULL GLASSES of WATER! Wonder when he last had something to drink? When my son asked the side about the bedsore on his butt she said “he has a bedsore”? This after changing him. He shared a room with a 400lb man who smelled so bad none of my sons could go into the room. We asked to have his room changed-they said they would have to ask director of nursing. We had a meeting scheduled for the next day but sadly he died. Once I saw that it was a division of Manorcare it all made sense. They had a terrible reputation in Akron for their poor care.

I was there for 2 weeks. Not enough nurses. Waited some times over 1 hour for pains.clean sheets once in my stay. Some aids caught hiding in rooms. I had toured before. Beware!all that glitters is not gold!
