Yuma Nursing Center

I was there in March 2021 and have never been treat so inhumanly. The only thing good there is the Physical Therapist they were the top of the line. They tried to get me the help I needed but, hit road block with the doctors every time. I had difficulty walking and standing without severe pain. I had bleeding ulcers and was told they did not cater to special diets. Asked for broth and only choice was chicken noodle, allergic to wheat, my other choice was tomato soup or a spicy dish, sandwich; all things that were counter indicated for ulcer or I was allergic to. I was discharged the 21st of April flu to Oregon where my doctors say me right away. They started running test and doing MRI’s. I’ve been diagnosed with stage IV Lymphoma. The Lymphoma mass is on my spine cutting off the nerves to my legs. It is metastatic throughout my body including my lungs. My doctors did not know how I was managing without pain meds. You see just before I left my GP in Yuma had written a script but when I went thru TSA I didn’t have them on the other end my bottle was empty.

my family member has been at Yuma Nursing center as a long term resident for over 1year and 1/2 since 2018. The staff is giving her such excellent care I rest and sleep good at night knowing that she receiving such wonderful and excellent care . When my family and I visit our love one, we can see the care and support she receives all the staff from activities department,house keeping ,dietarymaintenance , social services ,front office staff,all the nursing staff and NA"s and the staff of occupational and physical therapy department and all other departments involved .Our love one was in another facility out of Yuma it was very hard leaving our love one there and being over 200 miles away and opening came available at Yuma Nursing Center our hearts were made glad and a great burden was lifted from our family . we can visit our love one daily . I give Yuma Nursing Center 10 gold stars .

My mom went to Yuma Nursing Center after suffering a heart attack. The building is older and outdated and initially I was concerned; however the staff in every department was professional, caring and compassionate. As my mom's advocate, they were always available to me, and responded to all questions and concerns. My mom was happy and well cared for and I would recommend Yuma Nursing Center.
